Welcome to BIG Initiatives
The idea has emerged to create a “BIG” brand, unashamedly expanding the recent “Big Swim” concept to create recognisable, inclusive and on-going, cross district themes. The BIG is designed to represent “Bradford Is Great!”, coincidentally tying in well with Yorkshire Forward’s ongoing “Great Places” initiative.
The “BIG” idea is aimed at really making the effort to brand and communicate the opportunity for everyone in our district to take part at one level or another
These include: BIGcycle, BIGswim, BIGrun, BIGwalk, BIGskate, BIG(fl)ex, BIGdance
There are a number of initiatives already underway in all of these categories, and it is emphasised that the purpose of the “BIG” brand is not to compete with but rather to promote and highlight existing excellent examples of activities across the district.
The BIG schemes are also designed to form an umbrella whereby contribution from a range of sectors and areas can be aligned and amplified to promote all aspects of the sports and activities that are covered, at all levels.
