Welcome to Bradford's Local Sports Alliances

Local Sports Alliances are open to all and are actively engaging at a local level with the following sectors, all of which are directly or indirectly involved with sport and physical activity; Sports Clubs, Schools, Colleges and Further/Higher Education, Council, Health, Community Groups and the Private Sector.

In order to access opportunities for sport and physical activity, there are a number of key requirements for all age groups such as; information as to what is going on, where and when and at what cost; suitable facilities and clubs/organisations for activities to take place; means of travelling to the facilities (preferably actively!); and where appropriate, suitable leadership or coaching at those facilities. Therefore, the Action Plans for LSAs concentrate on the following headings; information, facilities, infrastructure, leadership and coaching, activity pathways, clubs, funding and regeneration and community pride. LSAs are not necessarily directly funded or even formally constituted. They are designed to be simple, effective, no-nonsense partnerships that make life easier for everyone involved, or who wishes to get involved, in sport and physical activity.
